Who is Kevin DeSoto?
Originally from sunny California & now living in Rhode Island, Kevin has become a true example of how to use social media & new media in order to help make a difference.
As a dynamic social media connector & innovator, Kevin DeSoto is raising the bar in the media scene. What Kevin has accomplished through his expert knowledge of communicating & creative flair, has attracted national attention.
Before the release of the two American journalists Lisa Ling & Euna Lee, DeSoto used his social media skills to keep the issue in the forefront. He created the video, "A Million Miles" shown on YouTube. Additionally he kindly & skillfully Facebooked & Tweeted petitions for the support of Ling & Lee. DeSoto received local and national attention on ABC 6 News for his efforts. Shortly after that he was contacted by the Free The Hikers social media team & has been assisting, consulting & volunteering in an effort to keep the story of Sarah, Shane & Josh alive on the social media map. The immediate results? Attract the attention of influential sources. DeSoto also is the Providence Social Media writer/contributor for Examiner.com
In a world that is challenging & changing on a daily basis, DeSoto still believes in 4 basic human behaviors in order to be successful. DeSoto says, "Listen. Connect. Engage. Grow." Using these skills, DeSoto has been able to build social media relationships both online and face to face with a variety of very influential people & business- both locally & nationally.
By taking a serious look at how this grassroots style of connecting can be used to it's fullest potential, DeSoto has reinvented this form of media & helping others.
How? By believing in raw human values & just being himself.
